1. Give your cat as much squishy (canned) food as she can eat without throwing up.
2. When you slip on a hairball, remark your good fortune in that your cat hasn't yet managed to kill you.
3. Scoop the poop (litter box) without muttering or glaring at your cat.
4. When your cat bathes your arm with her barbed tongue, do your best to accept the kitty gift.
5. Fight the urge to apologize for having cat hair on your clothes. And on your furniture. And in your car. And everywhere else.
6. Talk to your cat without caring if you sound a little crazy.
7. Open the window blinds so your cat can soak up the sun.
8. When your cat takes a bath in front of company, decide to find it charming.
9. Admit that it would be cool if people could purr.
10. If you are able, adopt a cat in need.
